Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. Considered one of America's best tight ends and has the NFL record for the most receiving yards for any tight end. He is as the third-highest player in terms of number of receiving yards.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst for FOX sports studio. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been an integral part in FOX NFL KICKOFF, FOX's hour-long NFL pregame program that precedes FOX NFL Sunday. It airs each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claims of retiring from the NFL after 2013 is not the case. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons the two-year deal worth 14 million dollars. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leading receiver in active yards recieving the last time during his playing career.
